Partners & Organizations

Health First Network

Rainbow is proud to be a founding member of the Health First Network (HFN), a purchasing and marketing group of independent retailers with 115 stores throughout Canada.  Visit www.healthfirst.ca for more information.

Canadian Health Food Association

Rainbow has been a proud and active member of the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) for several decades.  As Canada’s largest trade association for natural health products, the CHFA plays a crucial role in helping Rainbow to engage in the national conversation on natural health and wellness.

Promoting Organics

Rainbow regularly works alongside the Canadian Organic Growers (COG) group, the Organic Trade Association (OTA), and a variety of other local groups to help promote and encourage the growth of organic food production and consumption within Canada and North America.  At Rainbow, we believe that the consumption of organic food products is the most viable option for solving many of the food-related issues we face in the 21st century.

The Local Business Community

Through our memberships in the Nepean Chamber of Commerce, the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, and the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses, Rainbow regularly works to promote its vision of private businesses playing a cooperative and positive role in the community.

Non-GMO Project

As perhaps the most pressing food issue of our time, Rainbow has long been an active member of the movement for more transparent GMO labelling.  As such, we remain a proud “Supporting Retailer” of the Non-GMO Project, an organization which we believe is absolutely crucial in the fight for better consumer information on this growing issue.

Involvement with Local Charities

Whether it’s promoting a food drive through the Ottawa Food Bank or helping to raise money for Easter Seals Ontario, at Rainbow we strive to give us much back to our community as possible.  Over the years, we have partnered with dozens of local charities to help achieve our sixth Guiding Principle of giving back to our community through regular charitable contributions, and through contributions to community-related events.
